One account
These three apps share a Nightmoose account: the email and password you sign in with. Signing in to one signs you into the same account in the others. We don't use a separate account per app.
What we store
- Your email address and authentication record.
- What you choose to add: blessing photos and notes, artwork, a child's name you type, recipes, shopping lists, and events.
- Family groups you create or join, and the name you show in a group.
- A push token for this phone, so we can deliver reminders and family updates you turned on.
- If you report or block someone, that report or block.
Photos and videos are stored for your account. They are not encrypted on the phone before upload. People can see an item only when it is yours, or when you share it with a family group you belong to.
What we don't do
We don't sell data, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps and websites. We don't use the data for advertising.
AI features
Family Recipes can send recipe text to Google (Gemini) when you ask it to. There are two cases:
- Import from a link. The app fetches the page through Jina Reader (
r.jina.ai), then sends that text to Google Gemini to extract a recipe. Jina is a separate service from Google. - Table view. The app sends the recipe title, ingredients, and steps to Google Gemini to build the cooking table. It does not send your account email, photos, or contacts for this.
The app asks for permission before the first import or the first table conversion, and remembers that choice. You can turn it off in Account. Turning it off stops new imports and new table conversions. Tables already saved stay on the recipe until the recipe text changes.
These calls use Google's Gemini API. On Google's free tier, Google may use inputs to improve its services. We do not use recipe text for advertising, and we do not sell it. BlessingBox and Family Art Gallery do not send content to Gemini or Jina Reader for this feature.
The cooking table is stored with the recipe so it can be shown again without another request. A change to the ingredients or steps invalidates that table until someone converts it again.
Children
These apps are for adults. A parent may store a child's first name and artwork. We don't offer accounts for children to create themselves.
Deletion
In the app, open Settings or Account and choose Delete Account. That permanently deletes the Nightmoose account and the blessings, artwork, recipes, and groups stored with it. Groups you own are removed for the other members. If this same email signs in to another Nightmoose tool, that sign-in is deleted too.
Reports
In Family Art Gallery and Family Recipes you can report a shared item or hide someone else's posts. Email hello@nightmoose.com and we will review it.
